The Rose Garden Cottage Bed & Breakfast sits on just over one-fourth of an acre and was originally part of a five acre tract of land purchased in 1869 for $150.00. Z.B. Mays built the bungalow-style home in 1922. Gary and Lee Ann Gillespie purchased the home in 2008, and with the city's approval, turned the bungalow into Weatherford's first non-owner occupied Bed & Breakfast. They knew it would make a great, relaxing getaway for guests, giving them complete privacy. It is a cozy cottage furnished in antiques with three bedrooms, two full baths, and a complete kitchen and laundry room. It has the same down comforters, high thread-count linens and luxurious towels that they have in their own home.
Gary and Lee Ann got married in 2001 and moved to Weatherford from the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex. They restored the oldest two-story historical home (1876) in Weatherford close to the square and lived there until 2017. In 2010 they were blessed with the birth of their son, Ethan, and are active in their church, Ethan's school, and are members of the Weatherford Chamber of Commerce. Gary has served on several city boards that focus on preserving the history of Weatherford.
Gary and Lee Ann set up the Bed & Breakfast exactly as they like to travel and want it to be a blessing to those who stay. Ranked #1 in Weatherford by several trip venues, their desire is to always exceed expectations.
